My Question or Issue
For a few weeks now I've noticed a lot of songs are hidden on my phone. I have no memory of hiding these songs and have since been unable to unhide them.
Cocaine Jesus - Rainbow Kitten Surprise
Saturday Sun - Vance Joy
The Drug In Me Is You - Falling In Reverse
And a ton of other songs that I've never even listened to before, but want to now. Hiding other songs does not make them unplayable, but these hidden songs are unavailable for me to play at all. I am not currently nor have ever used a VPN on any of my devices, and my other friends who use the app in the USA can all play these songs without difficulty. I've tried deleting and redownloading the app, logging in on another phone, no settings have been placed on my wifi/phone to block songs.
I'm totally stumped and don't know what to do.
Hi there @TomTom4,
Thanks for the post and welcome to the Community!
I checked the availability of those songs and they should be streamable in the US.
What could have happened is that you accidentally blocked the artists. Try going into the artist profiles on your phone > click the 3-dot menu > and check if you can see the option: "Allow to play this". If that's the case, then the artist is blocked and you can unblock it.
Another thing to check is if you have explicit content switched on in your settings. Check under Settings > Playback > Allow explicit content.
If the songs are still unplayable, can you upload a screenshot of how they look on your end? It's also a good idea to check if you can play them on another device, like PC or the web player.
Keep us posted on how you get on.
