2015 Honda civic choppy audio over bluetooth

This is more of a recent issue within the last few months but my audio from Spotify will cut out periodically when played through Bluetooth in my 2015 Honda civic EX.
Things of note:
-only Spotify experiences this issue, Apple Music, YouTube and every other app is fine
-the issue only happens with my car, headphones, other vehicles like my truck, audio is fine
-I’ve redownloaded Spotify, updated software, adjusted every setting I can think of in both phone and car.
-Honestly if I can’t solve this issue I’d be better off cancelling until I can find a solution

Never mind I think I found the answer just now thanks to another guy’s post:

I've been investigating this issue for many weeks and finally resolved it by turning off the Spotify Jam feature by doing the following on my iPhone 15:

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth and turn off Spotify.

ive been having the same issue. it will randomly chop and slip, speed up and slow down, randomly pause, etc. 

i try this to see if it works. thank you!
