$5 subscription with ads on iPhone

I am using the $5 subscription, and when listening to music on my iPhone over WiFi, I have to listen to ads.

Is this normal behavior?

Unless you have a student discount, you subscribed to unlimited which only removes ads on PCs. You need a premium subscription to get ad-free, on demand listening on a mobile phone. The differences are shown in this chart.

It is really ridiculous that a paid subscription does not remove the ads on mobile.

If you upgrade here, the unused days on your unlimited will be converted to half that number of days premium by the way.
