Accidentally hit Thumbs Down button

Accidentally hit Thumbs Down button

I accidentlally hit the thumbs down button on the Spotify Radio and was wondering if there was a way to view the list of songs/artitst that have been given the thumbs down or up; this is an artist I hope to find more music on but cannont recall their name? I suspect there has to be a file of some sort that is tracking this information, otherwise how would it know to play or not play that artist?

Thanks for your help.

p.s.

The back button did not work.

That is about the dumbest response.

No one is loosing sleep over this, no one is "butt hurt", it would sure be nice if it could be fixed. You yourself said it should be fixed, but god forbid we mention it in a suitable forum. Honestly why did you even take the time to be a jerk, just move on.

Seriously though... How is this NOT a feature in such a highly used application in the year 2014??

It took like a year and a half for them to add "repeat 1" so it'll get adressed... just not right away. Seeing as the OP was in 2012, i'm expecting this feature soonish haha

Anything Thumb-Up'd is added to the "Liked from Radio" playlist. This was covered in the very first answer, way up top of the thread.

2+ YEARS later... STILL waiting for a fix.

Pretty shoddy, Spotify. If the song is thumb'down'd but pops up in the playl.ist again, it should be possible for us to UN/RE-thumb it.

Very basic, very simple to impliment - just STOP blocking the thumb routine once an option is selected. Keep it open with a current state that isn't locked.

I just accidentally hit thumbs down on a station I like and am shocked there isn't a way to turn this around and spotify has known about this issue for two years and done nothing about it.

Are you freaking kidding me?

I'm moving on to Pandora, this is insane.

FWIW, I just had a weird GUI bug where, after an ad was done playing, both the thumbs down and up buttons (at least the graphics for them, but not the regions in the click handler) were a quarter of their normal size, and I suppose this caused them to be somewhat left of where they normally sit. So when I clicked thumbs up, it restored the buttons to their normal size, highlighted thumbs down, and skipped the track. This was about three minutes ago. I found this thread right away while looking to reverse this. And while I'm a bit disappointed, I guess I'm just going to move on with my life. Not sure how I should take personal responsibility for their bad coding though.

To anyone viewing this thread, you should give kudos to my suggestion regarding this problem in the "idea" section. Let's get their attention... again 🙂

Here's the ideas thread to give kudos to it looks like:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Modifiable-Thumbs-up-down/idi-p/212314

So I just read through most of this and now realize that this is a very old topic I'm dropping Spotify completely and going to Pandora. You want to get me back, fix this issue and while you're at it take a look at the whole thing and make sure that there isn't anything else you might have overlooked. Because from the looks of these threads, there are several.

The best compromise would be to search for the artist/song u want to undislike and add it to your radio playlist...

Any updates from the Spotify team on this issue?

I can't believe they STILL haven't fixed this. Also, (on mac) that ad on the right side of the window that slides away, it causes the whole middle area TO MOVE when it disapears. SEVERAL TIMES I've tried to click on the thumbs up button RIGHT WHEN the ad was disapearing, and clicked on the thumbs down button!!! AAAHHHGGG!!! This destroys my radio stations!!

I will never pay for spotify so long as they fail to handle issues like this. FU spotify.

Guess they still have issues with this. Started thread in 2012. Now it's 2015 and counting. Now im afraid I have ruined all the songs it picks for me.

EDIT: Also how is it logical to have the DISlike button first, and the like button last. I normally never dislike something on the station. Only like to add it to my personal list.

Yep, canceling my Spotify premium as of today because of this issue. Seems like Spotify doesn't care anymore. I simply cannot live without the ability to correct mistakes. Love the catalog Spotify but your developmental laziness has pushed me away.

Good by Spotify ... hello Google All Access ... makes me a little sad ... not.

Dear Spotify.

You are so great in so many ways, but there are a few things that really piss me off.  This is one of them.  You really should fix this.  The way it works is annoying.  The fact you won't fix it is infuriating.

There have been hundreds of times when I 'get into' a new song, really enjoying the song, and then it's gone to the next song, and I missed the title, and didn't save it.  Why can't you let us work with the last song?

We often don't know if we love it until it's winding down.  It's usually just as a song is ending that I find myself saying "wow, that was a great song", not in the middle of the song.  I don't want to destroy the mood digging in my pocket, and unlocking my phone, and navigating if I'm not in Spotify.  And don't want to break my concentration on the singer or the instruments.  LET US HAVE ACCESS TO THE LAST SONG.  We want to:

  • find the title/artist
  • star it
  • save to playlist
  • thumbs up/down
  • correct thumb rating

"Solved " The problem by simply deleting the station then adding it back to my stations. Could then press The next button to easily find the song i accidently pressed thumbs down on. Hopes this helps a little!

I'm sorry but that's not a "solution" to this even when put in scare quotes. We should not have to delete our stations and start over again because we misclicked something.

Yeah if this isn't fixed soon I'm dropping my premium subscription, the buttons are also on opposite sides compared to google play (and YouTube and everything else) so it's really hard to get the right one on android
