With one of the latest iOS app updates, the new checkbox style playlist selector when adding a song to a playlist doesn’t allow for a song to be added to a playlist more than once. I like to add songs multiple times to my playlist as I sort by recently added. Is this still possible, or only on desktop from now on? Would be a dealbreaker for me.

My Question or Issue
I never post here but I like to know what songs I’ve added to my playlists so I appreciate the update but I want to be able to add songs twice
I add a silent track after each song as I teach a pilates class and need a 20 sec break in between songs to guide the class to the next excercise. I will stop paying for the app if this doesn't change.
I had the same problem and I found a way to still add it.
Ist kinda complicated but still works. What you do is you create a new playlist with just the song you want to add that already is in the playlist. Then you go on the three dots on this playlist and tap “add to other playlist”. That way all the songs in the new playlist will be added to your normal playlist.
hope this helped 🙂
I recently found another work around, after adding the song you want duplicated you go to the playlist its from and select the three dots next to the download button and select the "add to playlist" and choose the playlist you want the duplicate on. Obviously if you don't want the whole album there you'll have to manually remove each song which is a pain in the **bleep** but i think its worth it. I doubt it'd work if you already have the whole album added but you could probably remove one song then use this method. I know previously spotify would just skip over any song you already have added so idk why it's suddenly working know. I've test it like 10 times with slightly different variables but its worked every time, if it doesn't work for you please let me know so I can try and figure out exactly what makes it work.
same here when i training some songs most play moore then once. Remove this**bleep** so not works do. Of course i can use the feature put in queue. But i pay for this and is my choice if want tje same song 50 times.

Will it be changed soon? I hope not too long because why would spotify delete a useful features like this🥲
This just arrived to Android and I'm profoundly mad. Spotify doesn't seem to care about the negative feedback.
Why always remove the usefull features. First offline toggle in quick menu, than removin pin playlist to homes teen, now this.... All features that are sooooo immense usefull
Spotify - this socks. Like everyone else has said, you've changed something that worked perfectly fine before. And going on the desktop site to do it is a PITA!
They seem to have removed the workaround where you add another playlist. Wondering if this is intentional for some reason?

My Question or Issue
Hi! I use spotify for timing my workouts and my studying (I make my iwn pomodoro playlists)
However, it is not possible to include the same title more than once in a playlist any more, which I desperately need!! Is there any way to do this or is this function lost??? That would be extremely annoying...
Bruh I’m really just tryna make a 200+ hour long playlist of only Mambo #5 😕
Yes, exactly. I pay for it, so it is my decision. But customer support actually replied to me that if I want to hear a title multiple times, I can use the queue feature or repeat feature. Well, that is really not the same!!! I replied to them that I want the same title multiple times in between a song. If I used the queue function I would need to make the list new every time.
oh, does it work on the desktop site?
Now for THAT you can really use the repeat feature 😂
I guess they don't want this bc it is supposed to be used not commercially and only for private purposes... But tbh., it is not the responsibility of Spotify to regulate how people use these features.
doesn't work any more. 😥
It's bull **bleep**. Used to work
I agree hundred percent, I use this feature for years and now it's gone, very very annoying as I don't understand why at all...
Add it back
