All my music is gone

I just signed up for Premium a couple days ago, and got Spotify loaded onto my iphone yesterday.  It automatically started syncing all my starred music, playlists, etc.  Today, I wanted to try the offline modus, start playing a song, and whooosh *silence*.  I have no more music synced (although some 200 titels had already synced) and on my computer I now get "getting started" help and have no more music.  What happened?  Is this a common thing, because that would make this whole thing pointless.
