Application won't open since 8.4.17 - tried reinstalling too

Title - app won't open since 8.4.17 update, iPhone 6S Plus, 10.3.3, tried removing the app and reinstalling, device had been restarted etc still won't open, app colour changes to a darker version as if it's registered you've clicked but does not open

I've had this same issue, i did a reset i.e. Held the power and lock button to reset my iPhone, and that did the trick.
