Auto Resume not working on iOS with WF-1000XM3

My Question or Issue

My headphones, the WF-1000XM3, have an auto resume feature when you put the earbuds back in your ears the music is supposed to resume playing. This does not work with Spotify as I have to manually resume the music myself. I have confirmed this resume feature works with other apps like Netflix & YouTube so I think it's an issue with the Spotify app not the headphones or phone itself.
