When I start the Spotify app (v0.5.9.10) on my iPad 3 running iOS 6.0.1 while I have the screen orientation locked to landscape (or to upside-down portrait), the app seems to think I am in normal right-side-up portrait mode. When I adjust the slider to change my position in a song, it will be rendered sideways, as seen here (ignore the transparency, that only happens because I snapped the screenshot as it was fading away):
The glitch goes away if I unlock the screen orientation and rotate it into portrait then back to landscape. I imagine the fix for this would be to have the app check the screen orientation at startup rather than waiting for an orientation change event. This is a minor bug but one I thought was worth reporting. Thanks!
