Can no longer login to spotify on IOS 10

My Question or Issue

I recently reset an iphone 5 with ios 10. I installed spotify (it did prompt me to install an older version) but it won't let me login to any accounts, it fails to look up any account names.

Any suggestions? This was working before I reset the phone and reinstalled spotify.

The reason why you may be experiencing this is that your iOS version doesn't fall within the system requirements. You can check out the system requirements to use Spotify here.

For your particular case, you can use Spotify on an iOS device using iOS 12 or later. You stated that you are on iOS 10, which isn't compatible with the Spotify app.
