Cannot Select Songs

Whenever I open spotify on my ipod 5 i am not able to select a song (as in press the song and it won't play) my friends are also having his issue and i would like help to solve this problem thanks. Also, whenever i press shuffle play it works but it is a pain to have to listen to songs that i dont want to listen too.
