Cannot play daily mixes from iPhone to firetv stick app

I have the same issue when I attempt to play from iPhone to the firetv (not the stick, the larger model) using Spotify Connect. Ideally Spotify would invest in improving the FireTV app (fix this Daily Mix issue, AND add Alexa integration now please!)

Does anyone know if this *does* work with other Amazon devices such as the Echo Dot?  I would love to play my daily mixes on my home stereo, and would consider getting a Dot if I knew it would work.

My Android cannot "send" the daily mix to my Amazon Fire TV either... It just doesn't play. Everything else is OK. Spotify please fix!
