Connecting to other's devices and playing their music

This has happened twice to me since this weekend. I'll be listening to music and then my device will A) start playing random music and then when I try to switch it back, I wind up in some weird battle for control with other people's spotify. The last time this happened it asked me if I would like to play it from my device or "Allen's" whoever the heck that is. And I notice this happens when spotify randomly turns on shuffle, but I don't know why that's happening either and I'd really just like control of my own devide back.
