Controls not showing up in control center

As you can see by the photo I don’t seem to have any controls to skip or pause the songs.

any help is appreciated

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? 

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of iOS you're running?

I'll see what we can suggest!
