Device Options Limited if Connected to Bluetooth Device

If I'm not connected to any kind of bluetooth speakers or headphones I get the full range of device options to play from (see screenshot), such as my Amazon Echo. However, if I'm connected to any bluetooth device (i.e. connected to echo over bluetooth instead) I get only a tiny list of options. I can only play over bluetooth I can't play via the devices. So I have to disconnect bluetooth just to see this list. It's annoying as **bleep**.
