My Question or Issue: I understand there is the ability to turn shuffle play off. But my issue (I've tried search, and there are tons of shuffle play questions, can't find this specific issue) is that I never want shuffle play, ever. But every time I start the app on my phone or on carplay, it plays shuffle. Maybe on the computer it works like I want, and I can select a song on my playlist and it will continue down the list from there, but why can't I opt to have shuffle off from the start? I never want to hear my playlist (there's only 1) shuffle.

Spotify changed this recently to be a default so it is obviously an option for it not to be a default. Please correct this poor decision and make it an option for users to select as a default or not in the control menu. This is very annoying to have to turn off shuffle every time.

This morning I am trying to listen to different versions of a particular piece. Even with the shuffle button grey, the app still mixes up its own list and forces me to go back every 5 minutes to manually select what I want. I beg you to explain to all of us why anyone ever thought forced shuffling was a good idea? It is probably about money and it will very likely backfire. I gave up other platforms and chose Spotify exactly because you let me listen to what I wanted. Do you really want to take it away?

Is this a weird joke? You're saying that the Shuffle toggle will be toggled on by default??? Who would ever want that? Nobody maybe? Everyone wants to play what is showing on the playlist they are looking at in that order. This is so weird and I feel like I'm on crazy pills

This is **bleep**ed.  There is absolutely no reason to have your music service always have shuffle turned on by default.  I've been subscribed to premium for years; but if this isn't gonna change, I'm cancelling my sub.

It's still working with shuffle on by default.

Time to move to Another app, I guess
