Disconnects from MusicCast and Airplay when paused for too long

On my iPhone, when I pause music to go do something else, it disconnects from MusicCast or Airplay if I left it paused for too long. The song I left off on is still there and at the same point when I paused but when I hit play again, it forgot I was playing music remote and it plays on my iPhone. I have to hit the little device button to send it to my speakers again. Is this just me?

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The described experience is most probably related to the devices you're using the app on. 

On the iPhone there is a setting to allow Spotify to run in the background - background refresh. Here is how to turn it on for Spotify. 

There should be a related setting on the other devices as well, but can't tell you exactly how to find it, but you can contact the device manufacturer for more info on that.
