Superuser Contribution Sound keeps cutting out for a split second

Never had this problem for many years prior, but recently I'm getting split second cut-outs in sound while playing from my iPhone. This is at home on a solid wifi connection.Any idea what is going on here, and how to fix it? Thanks!
