- Test if the same happens across different networks:
- If you're currently on 4G/5G, try connecting to WiFi.
- If it only happens on WiFi, restart your router.
- Check that you have enough data allowance in your device’s settings. Your data provider can help with this.
- Make sure the Cellular button is enabled for Spotify app in iPhone's settings.
- See if the issue persists in Offline Mode.
- If you use any kind of VPN, make sure to switch it off as it could interfere with the service.
- Reset your mobile network settings, if possible.
Advanced Steps:
- Ensure your device has at least 250MB of available memory.
- Check if your device's battery is sufficiently charged.
- Disable Optimized Battery Charging. Steps can be found on this page from Apple.
- Make sure that all permissions for Spotify are enabled. Go to the device's Settings > Apps > Spotify.
- Change the Background App Refresh settings. Head over to the device's settings > General > Background App Refresh.
- Factory reset the device (we understand this might not be optimal).
- If you have playback issues, change the app's audio quality setting. For example, if it's currently set to High you can switch to Low or Automatic.
- Log in to a different account to see if you notice any difference. You can check with the account of someone you know or create another one yourself.
