Discover won't open on iPhone

Discover won't open on iPhone

I get the message "Spotify can't open this type of link on this device"
After demonstrating the breadth of my IT knowledge (i.e., turning it off and then on again) rebooting the app, rebooting my phone, updating iOS, I'm still getting this message. What else can I do?

Are you still having issues? If so, can you send us a screenshot of the error message you're getting? Also, is this happening over WiFi or 3G/4G?

I have the same problem and it is happening over both Wifi and 3G

Can you send us your iOS and Spotify version? In the meantime, can you try reinstalling the app?

Same problem here in the US- one of my favorite features has gone lame for the past two weeks 😞

I'm having this exact issue been this way for weeks now and I'm getting annoyed. I feel as though I should be entitled to a refund of some kind as others should also be as we are paying for a service that is not being provided.

Ditto; I uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times and -- by some miracle -- it started working again. Haven't received an official response from support but you might want to give that a go.

In a similar thread it was also encouraged to ensure that your phone (or other device) was fully updated, in addition to updating the app.
