Downloaded tracks being deleted

So I switched from an Android phone with SD card to iphone 7 last week.

I have been a vocal critic of Spotify on the Android forums for the persistent (since I have been premium member 2-3 years) problem of downloaded tracks being deleted (and requiring to be re-downloaded).  I have had up to 1100 tracks disappear overnight.

I now almost immediately have the same problem with the iphone.

The phone is brand new, the tracks were all downloaded last week (so it's not because I haven't been online in the last 28 days) and this is internal phone memory (so it's not an SD card issue).

Really, only 3 conclusions can be drawn:

1. The problem is present on both IOS and Android versions of the app. For years.
2. The app is a complete ****, half-heartedly squeezed out by complete amateurs
3. Spotify have not interest or simply no clue in how to fix it
