Dear Spotify Team,

I recently came across an error in the iOS Spotify App. If you configure the Equalizer settings, everything is fine at first. However, after reopening the app or playing a few hours, it seems like the Equalizer settings reset themselves. If you move one knob of the Equalizer, the sound immediately changes back to the shown knob settings.

My Question or Issue

The Equalizer settings will not be valid when the program is restarted. I use the equalizer to reduce the sound level below the lowest setting on my iPhone (one step lower is mute) when playing background music. But the setting is "forgotten" the next time I start the program. The setting is in place, but the level is the same as the flat default setting. To correct the situation, I select any default setting and pull down all the sliders and then the lower level is back at the appropriate level for background music with BT speakers. I have tested this with many BT devices, they all worked the same way. I think this is a bug in program.

Same for me.I set the equaliser next day it's completely changed. This is on my Gallaxy s24. I've given up. Thinking of changing to YouTube platform.

Galaxy s22 ultra. Same issue. It keeps resetting itself even after doing all troubleshooting. Very irritating. Maybe if there was a save feature on the various option windows. After putting the EQ where you want it,then click save before exiting. Why isn't that an idea or solution?

I’m considering migrating to another platform. Spotify’s main business is playing music and if they can’t even do that, then there’s no point keeping it.

I have been a Spotify user for about 8 years and have had this issue the entire time, please Spotify it is time to find a solution 

experiment with it yourself:

restart Spotify app

choose song

go into equaliser settings 

change settings to your liking, listen closely 

restart app 

Play song and listen closely

the equaliser settings will not be on

go back into equaliser setting

slide hertz up and down and notice difference
