Force Spotify to open with default playback device?

My Question or Issue

I frequently use Spotify with connected speakers in my home. Then, I open it again the next day to listen on my mobile device. Here's the problem: Spotify always opens with the last-used playback device. So, my playback initially connects (via internet) to my home speakers - I have to manually change it back to the mobile device to hear my music.

Besides being an annoying extra step, connecting to my home speakers can wake up whoever is at home with unexpected sounds and/or disconnect whatever other source the speaker is playing at the time.

Is there a solution for this?
