Friends not showing up in Spotify

I refered my friend to download Spotify. He connected with his Facebook but he is unable to any of his friends under the "Friends" option. The thing is, I can send him songs and see him in my Friends. The thing though is I cannot see his playlists or songs when I click on his name. He recieves my songs in his inbox but is unable to inbox me songs.

I was also wondering and when and if we get this to work, are we able to edit a community playlist THROUGH the iPhone application.
