Get music to shut off when playing a sc video?

My old truck when using Bluetooth from my iPhone, would pause the music when I listened or opened a Snapchat video, then go back to playing once I closed out. It doesn’t do that anymore. So is there a way to bring that back, or is there anyway that I can do this differently because I can never hear what’s going on since music is playing. And if I pause the music, it mutes the Sc video.

It has to do with the way that the ios Audio Video Engine handles media. When spotify pauses in other apps, it's because that app calls the pause function, which Snapchat doesn't seem to do when opening a video. Long story short: it's a Snapchat issue. 

For now (which is an effort), you can pause spotify, open the video, and adjust the volume on your phone to trigger the playing of audio (if you're in silent mode).
