How can I get a notification when friend shares song?

I have enabled notifications for Spotify from my iPhone and PC web browser but I don't get any kind of iPhone notification, Spotify email to my email account, or notification w/in Spotify when a friend sends me a song or album.  How do I enable this?  Otherwise I have to proactively click through to my Spotify notifications to see if anyone shared something.

I am having the same issue! I rarely remember to check my inbox on my iphone and a friend had sent me a bunch of music. Where would I see that notification? Any luck?
