I used to be able to change my playlist thumbnails and descriptions but now I can’t.

I used to be able to change my Spotify playlist thumbnails and descriptions. I had to reinstall the app earlier since it wasn’t working, and ever since I reinstalled it, I can only rename them. Anyone have any idea why it’s like this??

Thank you for posting on the Community!

 

We'd like to know if this is specific to your phone. Could you try accessing your account with a different device and check if you have the option to change the playlist cover? 

 

If you still don't have the option. Please send us some screenshots or a video showing what you see when you try to change that setting. This will help us investigate further.

I mean the option is still available on my laptop, both on the desktop and web clients. I’m pretty sure it’s just my phone that has this issue.

We've received some reports of users with a Free subscription not being able to change the playlist cover.

 

Could you confirm what's the status of your subscription? This way we can keep investigating.

I do have a Free plan on my account.

Nope, nothing wrong anymore. I can fully edit playlists now :]
