I've never received notifications???

I've been paying for Spotify for months now and I love the app but apparently Spotify send you notifications? I've never received a single notification.. and yes I have my notifications turned on in settings and even on the app, I think it's a problem with the app. It would make the app a million times better if it actually alerted me when my favorite artists put out new music

check both, the settings for the phone itself and the app spotify? or you have to connect spotify to your phone somehow?
