IOS extreme battery drain

IOS extreme battery drain

I recently ran an iOS update and now my battery is draining at an alarming rate. Even when not in use Spotify is credited with more than 50% of my battery usage. This is unacceptable. Is there a solution? Or do I just unsubscribe and move on? This is ridiculous. I have not even used my phone today and ant 36%. My phone has only been off the charger for 6 hours. I have the iPhone 6 plus, the battery on this thing is enormous. Historically my phone is at about 60% after a full day of use including use of spotify, gps, email, text, phone, and more.

The bad feeling of a dying battery. I also struggle to get thourgh a full day on one charge, i fixed it with a Battery pack which I have in my bag with me to power up in the afternoon.

Thankfully the iPhone system has an option where you can see which apps are consuming the most energy. You can find this by going to the Settings App and follow the menu > General > Usage > Battery Usage.

It will load for a few seconds and provide a percentage of battery usage per appplication for the last 24 hours or 7 days.

On my iPhone Spotify users 14% of my battery power, I use spotify roughly 2 hours per day on my iPhone 6.
