IPad stream to Airplay by default?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an IPad mini where I'll be streaming Spotify output to an Airplay device. That is, a selection for my Spotify application only. (don't want general sounds from the IPad on my speakers - only Spotify output). And this should be possible as I read it - can someone confirm this?

Next, I'd like this output to be default. So that whenever someone picks up that IPad and starts Spotify, the output remains set to the airplay device. In other words, I'd only have to set output once in Spotify. Is this (also) possible?
