IPhone is not syncing to my computer like it use to

I have an Iphone 4 and when I would open the app on my phone it would automatically sync all my playlists with my computer. Now it does not automatically sync. I also have the least amount of music synced to my phone now but somehow I have less memory available then when I had more music synced to my phone. Doesn't make sense
