Issue when dee teeing already open app in the background

Hi,if I start listening to say the UK chart in the morning I can browse up and down the chart list without issue.When I say start to browse music else where but decide to stick with the chart I am currently in I decide to click on the ribbon at the bottom showing the song currently playing. At this point I'd expect to go back to the full chart listing in list format,however it comes up in left to right format with cd covers.if you browse / scroll left or right the music changes. How can I stop this?

Also, if I say get to work and pause my music and leave the app open and return to it later the chart list is also not visible. In essence it only remembers the song you were on but can't bring you back the same view I had when I paused the song earlier in the am.
