Just started 30 day free trial, but can't login

On my iphone I get 'login failed Could not login to spotify. Maybe you've changed the password.....?'  So I reset the password, carefully typing the new password into the Spotify Login screen on the iphone 4s ios 6.1 but it keeps failing.  I did have a free account, and thought maybe I would try the free premium for thirty days but it's not starting out to good.  Please help

My bad....i just figured out what I was doing wrong..... i was using email address instead of online username
