Local files "Empty" after I uninstalled/installed app, but local files appear on computer?

I was having trouble with syncing some music from my local files (I WAS STUCK ON WAITING FOR DOWNLOAD **bleep**), so I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, but now all of my local files are gone and nothing will download/sync to my iphone at all. All my local files show up on my Mac, and playing them from the playlists I created is no trouble at all.  I just lost all of my local files, and I can't even redownload them or download all my new music. I ONLY HAVE 157 IN MY LOCAL FILES SO IT'S IMPOSSIBLE I MAY HAVE TOO MANY. Also, I cleared out A LOT of space in my phone to see if that would solve the problem. I am so annoyed. I just want my music. Please someone help me.
