Music keeps jumping to the next song

My Question or Issue

After each song starts it jumps to the next whether its on a playlist or from the spotify selections. Please help as it is driving me crazy and will cancel the account if it persists.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Could you also try using the Remove Offline devices and Sign Out Everywhere, probably resetting your password too, from your Spotify account page? 

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

thanks. I've gone into the device menu and it keeps trying to connect to a homechromecast device. Do you think that might be something to do with it?

Could you also try using the Remove Offline devices and Sign Out Everywhere from your Spotify account page?

Probably resetting your wifi and account's password too.

I am having the same problem and there doesn’t seem to be a solution online. Paying a monthly subscription so looks like if it’s not resolved I will have to leave Spotify and it will leave a bitter taste .... 😞
