Music pause automatically every time when you push the side button to lock screen in iOS

I have encountered this problem recently in my iPhone X iOS 11.2.2, the music stops every time when you go to the lock screen but pressing the side button, no matter you are on the Spotify app or other apps, I have tried to delete and download the app again, and follow the advice from the older post to pause the music and play at the multitask menu but still failed.

the same thing was happening to me, realized this happens everytime i use apple pay while listening to music on spotify. hope this helps

I hope there is an official solution to this annoying problem, now I have to keep pressing play button everytime I go to the lock screen, so stupid and annoying

when this happens try restarting the phone, this helps 🙂
