Music stopping randomly when listening offline on iPod

Music stopping randomly when listening offline on iPod

Similar issue.

I listen to my music offline. Between a hour and 2 hours of listening the song will stop.

I then have to load Spotify up again find the song which as mentioned has restarted.

Then the next song will be the start of a random album on my Liked songs.

Using iPod Touch 6th generation, software version 12.5.1

Getting extremely annoying

Have deleted app and reinstalled it. Its up to date as well.

Only started happening in the last week

Hey there @Flook75

Thanks for reaching out about this and letting us know what you've tried.

Just to confirm, did you make sure to follow these steps when reinstalling the app? The steps for the iPod are similar to the ones you'll find for the iPhone in that article.

Also, would you mind letting us know if the same thing happens when you log into your account using a different device?

Keep us posted.

Hi Novy,

Done the clear install and it worked and it didn't work.

So the random pausing disappeared but has now come back today.

Where as the random album play continued if I paused a song and left it for a extended period

Hey @Flook75,

Thanks for keeping us posted.

Could you confirm if this also happens in any other device where you use the app?

We'd also like to know if this only happens while the app is in Offline Mode or when online too.

If possible, try logging in to a different account, like a friend's or relative's, on your iPod and let us know if this behavior persists. This would help us determine if this is account or device related.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi Carlos,

Unfortunately I only use my iPod for offline listening.

I don't use any other device for a extended period of time to see if the same issue occurs.

I would think not as my other devices are newer and are always connected to the Internet

Hey there @Flook75,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you log in with another account on the device - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!
