My iPhone 5 app has started randomly skipping to the next track. Help!

After years of normal usage my iPhone 5 app has decided to randomly skip to the next track on every song!!
Is there no answer to this problem?! I'm trawling the internet and the forums; there are loads of people with the issue and no-one, including Spotify, offering a definitive solution!
Help! I need it for NYE!!!

Might be worth trying a clean reinstallation of the app and see if they makes any difference?

Mine has been going the same thing for the last few weeks. my spotify premium will not play a song all the way through. It keeps skipping to the next song after 30-60 seconds. Help!!! I've deleted and reinstalled the app 3 times now. I'm going to cancel my subscription if this isn't fixed.

Same issue! Its appaling that there hasn't been a fix to this in so long. Have tweeted to Spotify to no luck!

How about instead of suggesting that everyone everywhere reinstall the app, suggest to the devs to start writing more stable code.
