My phone won't play music unless I download a playlist?

I have Spotify Premium for a while now and this was never a problem before. It acts as though it has no internet connection and the gray album pops up (assuming music can't be found). Either I have to keep the spotify app open or I have to download it which is extremely annoying. Any ideas/solutions?

Go into your Spotify settings and the click playback section. Make sure the offline feature is turned off. Hope this helps!

There is no offline choice on playback or anywhere on settings anymore, the only choice is to be online or offline. There used to be an option to use 3g when out of wifi but it's no longer an option on settings. Very frustraitng for those of us who have plenty of data and can't be bothered downloading every playlist we might want when out of wifi range.
