Off line mode won't play albums unless refreshed every 24 hours

I'm using an iPod Touch 4th generation running iOS 6.1.4

I've got about 30 albums downloaded and about 10 playlists.   All the albums and playlists are set to "ON' for off line listening.

After about 24 hours, my albums show no music available, however, the playlists will still play music off line.

If I connect to the internet and refrest each album, then I can play the albums off line, but then 24 hours later, the albums

show no songs, until refreshed again.

What's up with this weird off line listening?   Why do I lose music which is set for off-line listening, but the playlists still work?

Are you using an old version of the app?

iOS 6 is no longer supported so it could be that the older app doesn't have the needed updates to keep working.
