Offline Sync Problem

Alright, I am in my first month of premium, buying it basically just for the offline mode so I have all my muisc everywhere all the time. Now here is my problem: My friends and I have always made a game out of making mixtapes for eachother. We all have a different taste in music and there are very few ways we enjoy sending eachother music, other than these mix tapes. From these, I have a library of songs that are on my computer and not on my other devices. I use my laptop to edit playlists (as thats where all my songs are) and when I view these playlists in my phone, the songs from the mix tapes are completely gray'd out and I can't listen to them offline. These are MP3 songs, directly from the CD, most of them I don't even have the actual title or artist for so I can't find them in the Spotify library. Along with these are plenty of remixes (electronic listener here) that Spotify doesn't have in it's library either.

I have tried what seems like every method already listed in other sections of the forums. The sync option that the app tells me I can do when the laptop and it are hooked up to the same wifi does not work, and I recently just re installed the app trying to fix this issue to no avail. Please help, I don't like regretting my premium decision. My sync quality is set to high and Sync over Cellular is turned on. Both the laptop (where the songs are stored) and my iPhone are hooked up to the same wifi.
