Hi,
I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.02 and latest release of Spotify installed. Since the upgrade, my available offline music does not show up in OFFLINE MODE under Albums or Artists. I see everything in Songs but the Albums screen just shows the loading screen and under Artists everything is blank.
This is obviously extremely annoying as I don't want to cycle through a gigantic list of songs.
I've tried everything including login/logout, re-installing the app (which also made me have to re-download all the offline songs which took a solid 30 minutes). Also, these issues are all nullified when I'm connected, but the second I go back to offline Albums and Artists disappear again.
Very frustrating as this was never an issue prior to the new release.
Thanks,
B.
Got the same problem.
I'm having the same issue. I bought an iPod touch 5th Gen specifically to use Spotify Premium in offline mode. So I saved a load of music to use offline, as soon as I left the house to travel, can I access any of the music? No. I'm currently feeling like Spotify have ripped me off with false advertising their offline useage as it doesn't seem to work right.
Any ideas on how I can get this to work, besides going into a wifi hotspot and opening Spotify? As doing this kind of defeats the object of 'Offline Use'.
I'm using an iPod touch 4th generation. This device is great for Spotify but it can't update to iOS 7 or iOS 8 (it's limited to iOS 6.1.6). Users with the iPhone 3GS are in the same boat as me.
I'm suffering from this bug which makes playing my albums impossible offline. My version of Spotify is stuck on version 1.8.1.8 (because the new version requires a minimum of IOS 7). Can the Spotify devs do anything about this? I'm sure I represent quite a significant portion of your user base, it would be a shame to be stuck with a broken version of Spotify that will never be fixed.
EDIT: Just realised I have to install a new app called "Spotify Music for iOS 6", thanks.
Cheers.
Just a bump to point out the fact that this issue persists with "Spotify Music for iOS 6" latest version (1.8.5.105). So I cannot access albums from "My Music" offline on an iPad touch 4th generation. Hope there's a fix on the way.
