Playing Spotify playlists on my iPad2?

Hey Community,

I will have Spotify Premium on my main computer and want to play all my music through an Ipad 2 using the Spotify app, which is in a different part of my loft. If it's synced correctly, can all my Spotify music plus my ITunes music (which is of course picked up my Spotify) be viewed on and played through the Ipad2? Secondly, does any of this process eat up storage space on my iPad 2, or does the music "reside" on Spotify servers/cache/wherever? All thanks!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

When you sign in on the iPad, you will be able to see all of your Spotify playlists as well as search and playing whatever you like from the Spotify catalogue. You won't be able to access your iTunes library directly, any tracks that you want which are local to your main computer will need to put in a playlist and then synced to your device as an offline playlist by following the instructions here. Offline playlists will take up space on your iPad, anything you are streaming from Spotify won't although it may use some space to cache tracks that you listen to often to save network bandwidth.
