Playing music on spotify in car

Hiya, 

I went on holiday recently and spotify worked very well on the app on the plane etc when offline, however it doesn't work when I plug it into the lead connected to my stereo system. When i choose the correct setting it says 'no music' even when music is playing. It also doesn't work when I plug in my ipod touch usb lead into the usb drive of the stereo system? How can i listen to my music in my car??

You have to use the headphone jack and put your stereo on AUX. You can't control spotify through the music control of your stereo. That's only for MP3's that you put on your phone using itunes.
