Playlists not downloading; reinstall fixes the issue temporarily, but it breaks again

Description

Offline sync doesn't work for playlists. I tried reinstalling following the instructions in the troubleshooting guide. This resolved the issue briefly, allowing me to download the playlist. However, after some time with the app running in the background, the app no longer syncs. I see no sync indicator upon flipping the on / off switch on a playlist.

The progress bar appears for the first working sync, but no longer appears after some time with the app running in the background.

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. Uninstalled, then reinstalled per the troubleshooting guide's suggestions

2. I tried to sync a playlist; it worked for a short time, but then stopped

What I expected to happen

All my playlists would sync upon command. I expected to see a progress bar indicating the status of my sync.

What actually happened

After some time, the on / off switch for a playlist would not initiate sync or display a progress bar.

Is your device jailbroken?

If you don’t know what this means you can probably answer “No”

I have 50 or so playlists, but I only ever try to sync one or two at a time.

I am wondering if my number of devices may need to be reset. I have upgraded devices multiple times past. I went from iPhone 4S to 5 and from iPad 3 to Mini.

Bump:  Can support consider this thread? I enjoy Spotify premium, but I cannot justify the monthly price if this feature doesn't work.

Hey 🙂

You could try resetting your offline devices and see if that helps, just post on this topic and a member of the community team should be able to do it for you.

Unfortunately, I did try that. According to the thread they reset my offline devices, but the problem still persists. I'm not sure what it could be. Thank you for the reply.

Yeah. I tried reinstall too. It synced (sloooowly) until the first time it 'timed out' (cause god forbid I would want to do something else with my iPhone during the interminable download) and then the syncing bar just disappears. Serious flaw spotify.
