Playlists only play one song

My Question or Issue

For the past few weeks, whenever I have tried to play one of my playlists, Spotify will play only one song from the playlist before reverting back to playing whatever was in my queue before. This happens both when I use the Shuffle Play button and when I try to play starting from a particular song in the playlist. I can add the whole playlist to my queue, but then those songs appear behind everything else in my queue, that is, the entire playlist that I was playing before this issue began. So to listen to the music I want I have to delete everything in the queue before it or tap the Shuffle Play button after every. single. song. to get a new one.

I have already updated the app and even re-installed it to see if the problem would go away, but no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Can you try these steps and run a clean reinstall? This one is more thorough than the usual reinstall. If you're using an SD card, you can removed it, reinstall Spotify and then try running the app without the SD card.

If that doesn't do the trick, you can try with another account on the same device. That way we can check if it's an account-related issue. 

Just to double check- does the issue occur when you try playing a specific playlist?
