I am using the iphone app and there are public playlists that do not appear in the search results when using the entire search results or narrowing down the playlist search in Japanese. The Japanese email support staff explained that the playlist search results are ordered by popularity. I was not able to get a response from support on the details, but is this something that should appear in the search results, even though it may be quite low in the overall search results? Or do the search results only show a portion of the playlists searched?

Hey there @i2da,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
We can confirm that the search results are based on location, popularity, previous searches and music taste. The results shown are mainly songs, albums or artists that contain keywords you used in the search bar. Since a user's playlist could have any name, the search engine is not that accurate looking for them.
No worries, you can also share the playlists you want with other users by following the steps here.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

My post is not about how to share a specific playlist, but about a bug in the playlist search. General searches, such as online bookstores, will come up with matches to the search terms, unless the title is a commonplace title such as "love".
The one reported here is a search for the rather unique phrase「戦争の親玉」( "war master"), but isn't it a glitch that it is hidden in the search results?
Even if the search results are sorted by popularity, etc., doesn't the search match appear lower in the search results?
I think there is a problem with the accuracy of spotify's search, and I don't think it's in the user's best interest that playlists are not displayed in the search results based on location or popularity!
Isn't that explained in the help?
