Recently played artists under me tab not updating

Looked all over the forums for an answer. Under the me tab, my recently played artists have not updated in over three weeks. Same thing when I go to a friends profile. Is this a known issue? It seemed to happen when the the top ten track disappeared.

My recently played artists was updated 3-4 weeks ago and in some cases I literally listened to one / half a song.

These artists do not reflect my activity, that is what is so annoying.....

I have listened to almost whole discographys of some artists since and these are nowhere on the list. 

I have tried to turn it off but that does not seem to work either....

Hmmm...my RPA have been updating regularly for a while now (knock on wood). Also reflects actual artist I've been listening to.

Mine has never updated. I've been using Spotify for over 2 months, listened to various artists and the "recently played artists" in the overview tabs shows only the first band I've listened to when I downloaded the app (mac desktop). 😞

It's late May (Memorial Day, to be precise) and I'm having this issue. I'm not even recognizing half the artists under my "recently played" tab.

Just signed up for free spotify and linked with facebook. I am not seeing recently played artists, songs or albums appearing on my profile or my facebook timeline. Does it take time for my profile to sync up or something? Or is there a bug going on? Anything I can do?

@Wanderboy78 Spotify will always post to Facebook if the permissions to FB is given, you should check your FB account privacy settings.
Taken from the Facebook Community:
Go to this page: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
Click on "Edit" on the Spotify row.
Change the "Visibility of app" to your desired privacy.
Next time if any post is generated through the app, it will be of that privacy which you have set here.

Thanks for the response. I checked and my settings in FB are set to display spotify posts. Is it because Spotify isnt displaying my recently played artists on my profile, either?

Try this on your Desktop first:

Go to your Spotify Preferences -> Head to the Privacy Section under Activity Sharing and make sure that the Sharing with Facebook is ticked.

Than play some music - it should work.

All the settings are set to allow sharing. Is it bc it's the free version?

Can you head to spotify.com and manually link your facebook account (click on that button) and try again?

I have that problem now - my recently played artists is not updating for 10-14 days. same for some the people i follow.

Hi, my overview and recently played artsits is not updated...it shows one artists that I listened to AGES ago...ive been listening to spotify obsessively for a week (on my premium account) and am confused as to why none of that is showing anything?

Same here, it has updated once in the past 2+ weeks. Normally updates every day or every other day.

I have the same problem, really annoying since my list now only shows artists I listened to for a few seconds(!) and none of those I listen to every day.
