Saved albums available offline when I don't want them to be

I'm trying to free up memory on my iPhone by making several saved albums no longer available in offline mode.  But, when I hit the toggle swtich away from green, songs still remain with the green arrow and marked as available offline.  I can't seem to fix this.  And, these are not songs that are saved offline in other playlists.  How can I fix this?  It's making it impossible to free up space for new albums I want to have available offline, and it's always showing my spotify as having something like "5 of 2184 offline songs downloaded."

Have you tried reinstalling the app to clear the space?

Hello!

Songs won't erase just like that. This is for people who might have accidentally triggered the switch off.

Close and open the app or wait some time with the app closed.
Eventually songs will be erased.

Hope this helps! ♫

Closing and waiting doesn't work. This has been a problem for weeks that won't resolve itself. Any other ideas?

meaning delete the app from my phone and then re-install?  I have not tried that.

OK, I did it. It gave me a clean start, meaning that it removed ALL offline material, so I'll have to build my library again. But, that shouldn't be too hard, as it still retains all my saved albums, playlists, etc., so I just need to hit the toggle on the music I want offline. thanks!
