Saved songs are not being recognised and downloading despite having download checked on my songs

This has been an issue for me for a while now. It's very annoying that the only way to download all of you music and have new music download as you add it to you library is to download all songs in the songs section. It's even more annoying when when this doesn't work. Spotify seems to pick and choose what songs not only show up in my artists, albums or songs but which ones actually download, despite the conditions for every song being the same. I would expect that albums or songs I have 'saved' would at least show up on my phone, let alone download. I'm on an iPhone 6 btw.
